Ash Catches a Pokémon

This episode starts off with Ash capturing a Caterpie by throwing a Pokéball at it. After he catches it he becomes very happy because he just caught his first Pokémon. He starts dancing with Misty and Misty and Pikachu get dizzy. Ash says to Misty after they stop dancing that inside that Pokéball is the first Pokémon he has ever caught. Misty tells Ash to keep it away from her because bugs creep her out even if they are in a Pokéball. Ash then says he likes bugs even if they are not in Pokéballs. Ash says his thoughts out loud saying Caterpie must be Cute inside the Pokéball and also says he loves his Caterpie.

Misty then says she guesses it take a worm to love a worm and Ash then says very funny. Then he notices Pikachu on the ground who fainted from watching Ash and Misty dancing earlier. Ash tells Pikachu that they have a new friend and Pikachu then says Pika after smelling the Pokéball. Ash then says that he is glad Pikachu likes it and he will catch a bunch of new friends.

Then Ash sends out Caterpie and Misty runs for the hills because she does not like Bug Pokémon. Ash tells Misty there is nothing to be scared about and asks Caterpie to climb up on his shoulder. Then Caterpie spots Misty and runs toward her. Misty screams, and then we see Caterpie rubbing against her. Then after Misty hurts Caterpie’s feelings and argues with Ash. So Ash decides to go on without Misty.

While Ash, Caterpie, and Pikachu go along the path Pikachu tells Ash in Pokémon that Misty is following them. Ash then asks Misty why she is rudely following them and she says that she is holding him responsible for her bike. After a quick dialogue Misty tells Ash she is not following him and that happens to be the fastest way out of the woods.

Then in the next scene Ash tells Pikachu and Caterpie to get some sleep. Misty then says they would all get some sleep if he would stop talking. Then after they go to sleep, Caterpie and Pikachu start talking in Pokémon. Obviously Caterpie tells Pikachu of its dreams. Then in the morning Misty is the first to wake up and discovers that Caterpie was sleeping right next to her. She then screams and wakes everyone up. Then after being insulted by Misty again, Caterpie goes into its Pokéball.

Then Ash tells Misty that she owes Caterpie an apology as Pokémon have feelings too. Then a Pidgeotto flies down and eats a regular worm. Ash says Wow, and pulls out Dexter who says Pidgeotto can dangerous. Ash throws a Pokéball at it and Pidgeotto deflects the Pokéball and Misty explains that Ash needs to have one of his own Pokémon weaken it first. So Ash sends out Caterpie and right before Pidgeotto is about to eat Caterpie, Ash calls it back. Then ash sends out Pikachu and tells it to use thundershock on Pidgeotto. Then Ash manages to capture it by throwing a Pokéball.

Then Misty lectures Ash while having an argumentative tone of voice. Then Team Rocket shows up and recite their pathetic motto. Then after making complete idiots out of themselves they send out their Pokémon and have Koffing use sludge on Pikachu so it can’t see. Then Ash sends out Pidgeotto who does well but is not a match against 2 Pokémon. Then ash calls it back and sends out Caterpie. Team Rocket starts laughing and Caterpie uses String Shot which stops Ekans and Koffing in their tracks. Then Caterpie uses tackle on them and send them flying. Next Caterpie uses String Shot on Meowth and Team Rocket retreats.

After that Ash is very happy as he won his first official battle and picks up Caterpie. Then when Misty is about to pet Caterpie it starts to evolve. So ash puts Caterpie down. It evolves into Metapod. Dexter says Caterpie has evolved faster than any other Caterpie. When ash tries to get Misty to pet Metapod and a beedrill passes by. So Misty says she’ll do anything if they got out of that forest. The End.
