Welcome to the Lengendary Dog Information page. I made this page due to the the results of a poll I had (I still have it up on the polls page).
The lengendary dogs are only in Pokémon Gold and Silver and Pokémon Crystal. They aree very rare you can only catch them once. There are only three lengendary dogs currently they are:
-#243 Raikou
-#244 Entei
-#245 Suicune
Here are the descriptions that are in the Pokémon Gold and Silver Pokédex:
#243 Raikou:
-Gold: The rain clouds it carries let it fire thunderbolts at will. They say that it descended with lightning.
-Silver: A Pokémon that races across the land while barking a cry that sounds like crashing thunder.
-Crystal: This rough Pokémon stores energy inside its body, then sweeps across the land, shooting off electricity.
#244 Entei:
-Gold: Volcanoes erupt when it barks. Unable to restrain its extreme power, it races headlong around the land.
-Silver: A Pokémon that races across the land. It is said that one is born every time a new volcano appears.
-Crystal: This brawny Pokémon courses around the earth, spouting flames hotter than a volcano's magma.
#245 Suicune:
-Gold: Said to be the reincarnation of north winds, it can instantly purify filthy, murky water.
-Silver: This Pokémon races across the land. It is said that north winds will somehow blow whenever it appears.
-Crystal: This divine Pokémon blows around the world, always in search of a pure reservoir.
You are probably thinking right now "is it even possible to catch them?". Well they are but they are far harder to catch than the Mewtwo in Pokémon Yellow. After you wake them up in the burned tower they could be anywhere in Johto. The funny thing is when I encoutered #245 Suicune in the game and now I can use my pokédex to find it's location and it never goes out of Johto. Well there is a method you can use to catch them. I want to tell you what changes their location. Going across a border (like: a city-route, a route-city border, and a route-route border) makes them move to another route. If you fly after one it will disappear and reappear somewhere else. If you haven't found at least one of them; keep wandering fields and you will find one eventually. If there is one or two in your pokédex it is only a matter of time till you capture them because you will probably find the ones that are not in your pokédex while you look for the ones in your pokédex.
Finally, the method you must use to catch them is... Fly to a town, then you check your pokédex to see if one is two routes away Go on to the route that borders the route that the legendary pokémon is on. Hope it goes on to the same route. Next check your pokédex to see if it is on the same route. If it is Use repel to keep wild pokémon away; make sure the first pokémon in your party is at level 40 or lower because if it is at above level 40 you will also repel the dog. If the first pokémon in your party is above level 40, you will lose all hope of catching it until eitherRepel wears off or you switch to a pokémon at/below level 40. The chances of finding it will still be slim but there seems to be a 1/3 chance of finding it on a route using this method. If you don't have a legendary dog in your pokédex, you will have to wander the fields (as I said) and hope you find it. That is basically everything you can do to catch them.
A slightly easier method to find (not catch) is to mystery gift with someone that has a Legendary Dog you haven't seen in his/her team. Then go and fight that Legendary Dog in the Battle Hall. After you fight the lengendary dog in the trainer hall, you can track the one in your game from your pokédex.
You are probably asking yourself "why can't I just trade them over to my game in the game?" Only in-game matches will count if you want that Ho-oh in Crystal or want a legendary dog with the same Trainer ID and you as the Orignal Trainer.
Below is a list of the lengendary dog sightings in the tv show and the movies:
-#245 Suicune during the first Johto Episode.
-#244 Entei during the thrid pokémon movie.
-#245 Suicune during the fourth pokémon movie.
-#243 Raikou during pokémon commercial in japan.
-#245 Suicune in the Episode "For Ho-oh the Bells Toll."
