Nintendo released a Pokémon game for a the N64 titled Pokémon Stadium 2. It was released in Japan on December 14, 2000.
It includes Pokémon 1-251 and supports Red, Blue, Green/Yellow (Green Jap, Yellow US), Gold, Silver and even Pokémon Crystal. There are 4 modes of play in the game: Nintendo Cup (for level 50-55 Pokémon), Little Cup for Pokémon hatched from eggs Below Level 6, Ultra Cup for all Pokémon can fight in it, and Challenge Cup you can set the rules. Like Pokémon Stadium 1 there are mini games in it that you can play on.
I just played a little on Pokémon Stadium 2 with my strongest pokémon and I noticed a few changes in the game. First of all the Prime Cup was harder (probably because of the new items). The Gym Leader Castle was easier. And inexpectedly Team Rocket Showed up, right after I beat the 7th Gym Leader. The First Grunt said the battle was going like he planned it. Everytime I KOed his pokémon. He even said that after I beat him. Then he lookéd very angry. I think the first Grunt was a mental case. It also seemed like the anouncer was on Team Rocket's side.
I personally recommend Pokémon Stadium 2; it is a must have game. Some of it's battles are more difficult then in Pokémon Stadium 1. The Prime Cup also has more difficult battles when compared to Pokémon Stadium 1.. It doesn't have the Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master ball rounds through. The first few gyms in gym leader castle are extremely easy. It's mini games are fun but I think they should have included the ones from Pokémon Stadium 1.
